Can the student work? Under what major restrictions? What is the family position where clearly stated?

No: students, as temporary residents, are not authorised to carry out any activity other than the one that motivated their entry, whether paid or unpaid. Spouses and minor children admitted in the student's company take the same temporary-resident classification.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

A foreign student or scholarship holder admitted for an official educational, research or training programme is a temporary resident. Under the captured regulation, the residence lasts the time needed for that authorised programme and does not allow unrelated activities. Separately, a single-trip entry visa must be used within three months of issue, extendable by the same period, subject to the category and passport validity limits.
