Which travellers require a transit visa/permission and which officially documented exemptions are important?
Croatia, as a Schengen State, issues a distinct airport transit visa (ATV) separate from the ordinary short-stay Schengen visa. The ATV authorises passing through the international transit zone at a Schengen-state airport while waiting for a connecting flight to a non-Schengen country. The official source does not list which nationalities require the ATV or the exemptions.

- Which specific nationalities are required to hold the ATV (vs. being exempt) is set out on a separate Ministry visa-requirements page, not captured here.
