    Sea que se trate de actividades realizadas bajo subordinación y dependencia, o por cuenta propia, debes adjuntar a la solicitud de residencia, la Carpeta Tributaria del empleador o contratante, en caso de que el empleador sea una persona jurídica o natural con Inicio de Actividades. De lo contrario, debes acreditar solvencia económica suficiente para cumplir con las obligaciones contractuales contraídas.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The employment contract may cover any kind of employment unless it is contrary to morals, public safety or public health, or its exercise is prohibited in the national interest and declared so by law. Losing the job that grounded the permit, or a voluntary change of employer, are not in themselves grounds for revoking it: a holder of the Temporary Residence permit may change employer without informing SERMIG, except for the 90-day permits granted on the basis of a job offer. A Temporary Residence permit may be granted as a dependant of the holder of this subcategory where the person's situation falls within items 1 and 2 of Article 74 of Law No. 21.325.
