The stream is set by the NOC of the job offer under the TEER system: occupations in TEER 4 or 5 fall under the Critical Impact Worker stream.

Your stream is determined by the [National Occupational Classification](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html) (NOC) of the job offer. On November 16, 2022, the Government of Canada switched to a new version of the NOC that uses [Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) categories](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code-2021.html). - Occupations in [TEER 4 or 5](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code-2021.html#wb-auto-4) fall under the Critical Impact Worker stream.

Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

Finding the employer is the applicant's own job: the programme plays no part in recruitment and keeps no list of eligible Yukon employers, employers are never obliged to nominate a foreign worker, and an employer may not, directly or indirectly, charge a fee or take any financial gain for nominating one.

It's your responsibility to find employment in the Yukon. The program does not play a role in recruitment or maintain a list of eligible Yukon employers. If you do receive a job offer from a Yukon employer, it's important to know: - employers are not obligated to nominate foreign workers under the program; and - employers cannot, directly or indirectly, charge or collect a fee or receive any financial gain for nominating a foreign worker.

What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

For this stream the applicant must have at least 6 months of full-time relevant work experience, Canadian Language Benchmarks level 4 at minimum, at minimum a high school diploma or Canadian equivalency, and any higher education the position or NOC requires.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

A nominee who is not in Canada applies to the Government of Canada for the necessary visa and work permit; the employer and the nominee sign a Tripartite Agreement with the Government of Yukon, and until the nominee becomes a permanent resident they hold a temporary work permit. The official source does not state whether the nominee may change employer or whether family may accompany.

  • The capture does not state how long the temporary work permit is valid, whether the nominee may change employer, or whether a spouse or dependants may accompany or work. The Tripartite Agreement's own terms are on a linked sample page that was not captured.
