Limits of the record
  • Searched the SINP procedures-and-guidelines capture for eligible occupations, NOC, qualifications, education, work experience, language/CLB, salary, skill level, shortage and points criteria. The Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category appears only as a description ('Do not have a job offer in Saskatchewan; Who are living abroad or in Canada; Are in the IRCC Express Entry Pool; and Meet the criteria of the sub-category'), which is exactly what R1 already states; the eligibility criteria are on separate pages that are not captured.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

Accompanying family members are included in the outcome: if all requirements are met, IRCC issues permanent residence visas for the applicant and their accompanying family members. The official source does not state what work is allowed or any tie to an employer, occupation or sector.

Limits of the record
  • The capture does not state what work a nomination in this sub-category authorises, or any tie to an employer, occupation or sector.
  • It says nothing about a work permit for this sub-category; the closed T13 condition on the page is written for nominees who are nominated with a job offer.

If you meet all the requirements, IRCC will issue permanent residence visas for you and your accompanying family members.

How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The SINP enters the nomination in the Express Entry system; the candidate must accept it within 30 days, after which IRCC invites the candidate to apply for permanent residence, and that application must be submitted within 60 days. If the applicant meets all the requirements, IRCC issues permanent residence visas for the applicant and their accompanying family members. The official source does not state the validity period of the nomination or of any work permit, or how either is renewed.
