Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?
A job offer is not one of the programme's minimum requirements, which are skilled work experience, language ability and education; employer involvement enters only as a scored selection factor. Under 'Arranged employment in Canada' an applicant can earn a maximum of 10 points for a job offer of at least 1 year from a Canadian employer, and the offer must be obtained before applying to come to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker. A valid job offer has to be for continuous, paid, full-time work of a minimum of 30 hours a week, not seasonal, for at least 1 year, in an occupation listed in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the NOC; IRCC must be convinced the applicant can do the job offered and can become licensed or certified in Canada where the occupation is regulated, and one of four listed situations must also apply.

Limits of the record- The page nowhere says in words that a job offer is optional; the statement rests on the job offer being absent from the complete 'Minimum requirements' section, which is the first citation, and present only under 'Selection factors'.
- The four situations that must also apply to score the 10 points are not reproduced here; they are set out at '#### Situation 1' to '#### Situation 4' in the same capture.
- The further 5 adaptability points for arranged employment are in a separate table in the same capture and are not covered by these slices.

## Minimum requirements
### Skilled work experience
First, find out the National Occupational Classification (NOC) for your job. Then check if it meets the requirements
for skilled work experience.
[Find your NOC](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/find-national-occupation-code.html)
Your skilled work experience must:
- [ ] be in 1 of these TEER categories: 0, 1, 2, or 3 - TEER stands for training, education, experience and
responsibilities.
- [ ] have the same NOC as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called
your **primary occupation**) - Your primary occupation may not be your most recent work
experience.
- [ ] show that you performed: - the actions in the **lead statement** of the NOC
job description, and
- most of the main duties listed
- [ ] have been obtained within the last 10 years, in Canada or abroad
- [ ] be paid work (you must have been paid wages or earned commission—volunteer work or
unpaid internships don’t count)
- [ ] be at least **1 year of continuous work** or 1,560 hours total (30 hours
per week)
Your skilled work experience must meet all the above requirements to be eligible.
Choose the NOC that most closely aligns with your work experience. This will:
- avoid processing delays
- make sure you’re assessed against the correct program
#### Your skilled work experience meets the criteria
You may be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program if you meet all other minimum requirements.
#### How to count your work hours
You can meet the 1,560 hour requirement in a few different ways:
- **full time at 1 job**: up to 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
- **equal amount in part-time work**: for example, 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time
(1,560 hours)
- You can work as many part-time jobs as you need to meet this requirement.
- **full time at more than 1 job**: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full
time (1,560 hours)
#### Part-time work experience
For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours. You can
work more than 1 part-time job to get the hours you need to apply.
We **don’t** count any hours you work above 30 hours/week.
#### Student work experience
Work experience gained while you were studying may count towards your **minimum requirements** if
the work:
- was paid by wages or commissions
- was continuous (no gaps in employment), and
- meets all the other [requirements of the Program](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/who-can-apply/federal-skilled-workers.html#minimum)
### Language ability
You must:
- [take\\
approved language tests](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/language-test.html#test) in English or French
- meet the [minimum\\
score](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/language-test.html#requirements) in all 4 abilities:

### Education
If you went to school **in Canada**, you must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian:
- secondary institution (high school) or
- post-secondary institution
If you have **foreign** education, you must have:
- a completed [educational\\
credential](https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship/helpcentre/glossary.html#educational_credential) and

### Arranged employment in Canada (maximum 10 points)
You can get points if you have a job offer of **at least 1 year** from a Canadian employer. You
must get the job offer before you apply to come to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker.
A [valid\\
job offer](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/job-offer.html) has to be:
- for continuous, paid, full-time work (minimum of 30 hours/week) that is:
- not seasonal
- for at least 1 year
- in an occupation listed in TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the [NOC](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/find-national-occupation-code.html)
We must be convinced that:
- you’re able to do the job offered to you
- you’ll be able to become licensed or certified when in Canada (if the occupation is regulated in Canada)
To get 10 points for a valid job offer, **one of these situations** must also apply.
