Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

The process starts with online pre-enrolment and payment of fees; enrolment takes place at the competent or geographically nearest Cameroonian diplomatic mission or consular post, which grants the visa within three days (24 hours under the express procedure). Visas cannot be changed from one category to another and can be extended only in cases of force majeure assessed by the Minister in charge of external relations after a favourable opinion from the Delegate General for National Security.
