Can the student work? Under what major restrictions? What is the family position where clearly stated?

The published general employment procedure requires a Temporary Employment Permit application for a person intending to work while residing in Belize, with the employer submitting an employed applicant's case to the Labour Department and a self-employed applicant submitting personally. The Student Permit instructions do not themselves specify a work entitlement or student work-hour limit. Parent or sponsor support for a Student Permit is not the same as permission for a student to bring family members. The separate Dependent Permit procedure has its own family and sponsor conditions and asks for work-permit or residence evidence; it does not establish that a Student Permit alone is sufficient sponsorship status.
