For the Flemish highly skilled single-permit route, the current Dutch government page requires a higher-education diploma at least qualification level 5 (including graduaat, bachelor, master or doctorate) from a state-recognised institution, and actual exercise of a highly qualified function. For local employment on a Belgian contract, its August 2026 note says the 2025 gross annual salary figures continue to apply to 2026 applications pending new Statbel statistics: €48,912 for applicants aged 30 or over, and 80% (€39,129.60) for applicants under 30 or qualifying highly skilled nurses or teachers in recognised education. For a posted highly skilled worker on a foreign contract, the same €48,912 annual benchmark is listed, divided by 12 for the illustrative monthly figure, and the under-30/nurse 80% concession does not apply. The future employer applies for the work permission; this is the Flemish category, not a Belgium-wide pay rule.
