Technical Assignment Visa (E3)

Employment/Work visa:

E3 (Experts and Technical Person)

Arriving for the purpose of

machinery and software supply installation/ maintenance/supervision/ project inspection/research & development support/ technical support to any organization and similar job.

Duration:  Up to 6(six) months with Installation & multiple entry with staying Commissioning/ condition of 90 (ninety) days Maintenance/Supervision/ per stay.

b. 30 (thirty) days if work Autonomous Bodies in permit /police or Security Bangladesh. clearance is under process;

Extension:  As Above;  Passport pages containing visa and arrival stamp.  Work permit;  Police report (to be taken by visa issuing authority);  TIN certificate (1st extension);  Income tax certificate (1st extension and onwards).

Visa issuing authorities have to mention following conditions on the visa label while issuing visas: a) For categories of A1, FA2, B, C, FE1, FE2, FE3, FJ, M, FM, FN1, N2, FP, FPI, R, S, FSR, T, FBN, MT, MA, and RT with “Employment in Bangladesh prohibited’’. b) At the time of issuing E1, E2, E3, J, P, PI and N1 category visa, passport of a person arriving with a view to take up employment /work must be stamped with the condition ‘please apply for work permit to BIDA/BEPZA/BEZA/BHTPA/ NGO Affairs Bureau/PPA or other competent authorities within 15 (fifteen) working days of first entry into Bangladesh.

FE3 (Dependent family members of E3) Purpose: Staying with family Duration:  Coterminous with the principal visa holder. Eligibility:  Extension of visa is Spouse, children, adopted coterminous with the children and dependent principal visa holder. family members of the  Employment in Bangladesh principal visa holder. prohibited exception of which may lead to cancellation of visa.
