What important funds, accommodation, invitation, insurance, onward-travel or passport evidence may be required?

For the NPRA family or personal visit visa, the issuance checklist requires a passport valid for more than six months, a guarantor letter stating the purpose, and for family visits legal proof of the relationship. It also lists a certified resident salary certificate of at least BHD 250; for a personal-purpose visa it asks for the guarantor’s ID card. These are NPRA application documents and financial evidence, not a universal airport-entry checklist.

Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

A guarantor or authorised person submits each family/personal visit application while the applicant is outside Bahrain. NPRA lists the eGovernment website for citizens, the eVisa website for registered users, and in-person service at Muharraq Security Complex or Isa Town. The page lists a separate extension application with passport copy (service-centre form if filed there), a BHD 30 extension fee and one-working-day extension processing time. An unused visa expires three months after issue; fees must be paid within 30 days of approval.
