  • AgeUsually, you must be 18 years old or older at the time we decide your visa application.
  • Character, security and admissibilityYou and family members aged 16 years and over who apply for the visa with you must meet our character requirement . We might also ask that other family members meet the requirement.
  • Health screeningYou and any family members who apply for the visa with you must meet our health requirement .
  • Language requirementYou must have functional English .
  • Parental authorisation or guardianYour sponsor must be approved as a temporary activities sponsor .
  • Prior or current lawful statusYour sponsor must have nominated you for a program of occupational training unless they are an Australian Commonwealth Government agency. We must approve your nomination before you apply for this visa. Nomination requirements are different depending on the purpose or type of training.
