Which exceptional-talent, academic, scientific, artistic, technological, cultural or other profiles does the pathway target?

This route is the non-ancestry basis of Armenia's Special Residency Status: it targets distinguished individuals who have provided significant services to the Armenian state and nation, and/or who are engaged in economic or cultural activity in Armenia. The same status is separately granted to foreign citizens of Armenian ancestry.

  • General Information
The Special Residency Status is granted by the Prime Minister of Armenia to the foreign citizens of Armenian ancestry and also to other distinguished individuals, who have provided significant services to the Armenian state and nation and/or are engaged in economic and cultural activities in Armenia.

What achievements, recognition, awards, publications, reputation or other evidence establishes the required level?

The page does not set out formal recognition criteria (no awards list, publication record or similar evidentiary standard). What it requires is a letter to the Ambassador or Consul General stating the reason for applying (business, cultural, charity, etc.) and the applicant's occupation and place of employment, described as specifically as possible; the ultimate decision on whether the person's service or activity qualifies rests with the Armenian authorities.

Is an employer, nominator, recognised body, peer group or government endorsement required?

No third-party nominator or endorsing body is described. The status is granted directly by the Prime Minister of Armenia on the basis of the applicant's own letter and documentation submitted through an Armenian embassy or consulate (or the Migration and Citizenship Service if the applicant is in Armenia); it is a government (executive) decision rather than an employer- or peer-endorsed one.

Holders keep the rights and obligations of Armenian citizens (full legal protection) except the right to vote, run for office or join political organisations, and are exempt from Armenian military service; the page does not tie the status to a specific employer, so a person recognised for economic activity is not described as restricted to one employer or business.
