What education or training is this pathway designed for?

This is the training-internship branch of Andorra's F immigration authorisation. It covers a placement rather than classroom study: the authorisation permits the holder to carry out training internships and to reside in the country only while those internships last.

What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

The placement is framed by an agreement between the competent ministry and the teaching centre abroad. The applicant must provide an academic or professional qualification, or a certificate proving that they have started the steps to obtain it, a document showing that they have not entered the labour market, and documents proving the calendar of the internship period.

What are the most important financial or study-related conditions: tuition, funds, insurance, full-time study, attendance or equivalent?

The applicant must document economic means representing 100% of the Andorran minimum wage - three payslips and the CASS points extract for an employee, or a bank solvency certificate and a sworn declaration of income otherwise - with at least 100% of the minimum wage for each adult in the household and 70% for each minor. Health insurance covering 100% of any medical or health expense during the planned period is required, with a sworn undertaking to renew it to the expiry of the authorisation if the policy is shorter.

Si, a títol excepcional, la pòlissa no cobreix tot el període previst, la persona que fa la sol·licitud ha de presentar una declaració jurada en la qual es compromet a renovar-la fins a la data de caducitat de la seva autorització.

The authorisation covers the internship itself and residence only while it lasts. A document must show that the applicant has not entered the labour market, which distinguishes the internship from employment. Where the applicant is a minor, the legal representative or guardian completes and signs the application, names the Andorran national, resident, institution or entity entrusted with the minor's care and provides that party's express acceptance. The official source does not state whether the internship may be paid, whether other work is allowed, or family accompaniment rights.

En cada cas, el Servei d’Immigració pot fer comparèixer la persona física o el representant legal de la persona jurídica a l’efecte de comprovar que n’accepta la guarda.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

For training internships the duration of the authorisation is that of the internship itself, unlike the study branch which lasts the same as the school year. The official source does not state a renewal procedure or any transition to post-study work or residence.
