Western Sahara is a Non-Self-Governing Territory in North Africa — 266,000 km² · ≈612,000 (2024). Its sovereignty is internationally unresolved — the territory is claimed by more than one party and its final status is subject to a UN self-determination process. It has no independent immigration or residence system and is not treated as one sovereign migration jurisdiction.
